SeaLegacy stands at the intersection of art, science, and conservation. We use powerful storytelling to inspire action for our blue planet. Through the 100 for the Ocean initiative, we helped bring together 100 world-class photographers, each contributing one print to raise funds for marine conservation. The proceeds support three organizations whose efforts are reshaping the future of our oceans — but whose stories often go untold. We fill that gap by creating tailored communication packages and amplifying them across our global platforms, helping them inspire the world to protect what’s left and restore what’s been lost.

Inspiring Youth to Protect Our Blue Planet

Based in New Zealand, Young Ocean Explorers empowers the next generation to care for the ocean through dynamic, youth-focused education. From underwater documentaries to hands-on initiatives, their programs aim to spark a lifelong passion for marine conservation. A key focus is advocating for Marine Protected Areas as part of the global effort to protect 30% of the ocean by 2030.

Science to Safeguard the Salish Sea

Based in the Pacific Northwest, Oceans Initiative is a research group that works to identify and mitigate threats to the Salish Sea — a critical habitat for iconic species like Southern Resident killer whales and vast kelp forests. Their research addresses industrial impacts like shipping, mining, and fishing, with the goal of preserving biodiversity and informing effective marine policies.
