He has contributed to 25 feature magazine articles for Australian Geographic, in addition to a range of book and diary publications.
Many of Justin’s photographs have been recognised in prestigious photography competitions. He has been awarded 7 times in the Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year over 11 years, including 3 category wins.
He is one of the most awarded photographers in the Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year competition. Since 2008, he has had 38 winning and finalist images in the competition, including the overall winner in 2017, and the portfolio prize on two occasions.
He was a competition judge in 2019, and besides that year, was a finalist for 17 consecutive years between 2008-2025.
Through his work, he highlights our connection to the beauty and fragility of the natural world.
